This Privacy Policy explains how House of Us (“House of Us,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses personal information when you visit our website, join our Private Member Association (PMA), purchase products, participate in programs or events, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1) Who we are
House of Us is a nonprofit PMA focused on community, education, and ethically made products. We are not a medical provider, and our Services and content are educational in nature (see our Legal & Safety page).
Our store is hosted by Shopify Inc., which provides our e-commerce platform.
2) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal/operational reasons. When we update it, we’ll post the new version here and adjust the “Last updated” date. Where required by law, we’ll provide additional notice.
3) What we collect

- Support: messages you send us (including attachments/photos you choose to share).
- Optional notes for continuity: with your permission, we may maintain brief AI-assisted notes on member preferences or prior interactions to improve care and continuity (see §7).
You can choose not to provide certain information; however, some features may not work without it (e.g., checkout, account access).
B) Information collected automatically (“Usage Data”)
We (and service providers) use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to collect:
- Device and browser type, IP address, settings, and identifiers
- Site usage (pages viewed, actions taken, referring/exit pages)
- General location inferred from IP
- Performance and diagnostic data

- Analytics & communications: tools that help us understand site usage and send essential updates.
- Social / integrations: if you use social logins or interact with embedded tools, those providers may share limited info consistent with their policies.
4) How we use personal information

5) How we disclose information
We disclose personal information in the following situations:
- Service providers (processors): e-commerce platform, payment processors, cloud hosting, shipping/fulfillment, email and analytics—only as needed to provide the Services and under contracts that limit their use.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and honor opt-out rights as required by law.
Past 12 months (transparency): we disclosed identifiers, commercial/order data, and internet/network activity to service providers solely to run our store, ship orders, provide support, and perform analytics. We did not “sell” or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6) Children’s data
Our Services are not intended for individuals under 21. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
7) AI-assisted notes (continuity of care)
To maintain continuity in member interactions, trained team members may keep brief AI-assisted notes summarizing preferences (e.g., “prefers capsules over gummies,” “asked about heat-safe shipping”).
- Notes are limited to Service relevance, stored securely, and accessible only to authorized staff.
- You may request access or deletion of these notes (subject to legal retention limits).
- We do not use these notes for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
8) Cookies & tracking; Global Privacy Control (GPC)
